What’s it like working at Singtel?

‘Start with the end in mind,’ is a career advice Kelvin Ong wishes someone had given to him at the start of his career. Kelvin, the proud father of a beautiful daughter enjoys spending his free time being active – he regularly plays badminton, jogs and swim. One of his proudest achievements is completing a hike up Phu Kradueng in Loei, Thailand, where he got to savour the beautiful sunrise and bask in its beauty.

As an individual, Gana never shies away from a learning opportunity. He does not possess prior technical skills as his previous work experiences were in the education sector; however, Gana possesses an earnest desire for learning and seeks opportunities to re-skill and upskill himself to stay relevant in today’s digital age. This compelled him to apply for the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) Mid-Career Advance programme, which not only offers employment, but also training for individuals for in-demand tech skills and in-depth exposure to the tech industry.

Lay Peng joined Singtel as a Data Analyst in Singtel’s HR Future of Work team under the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) Mid-Career Advance Programme. Even though she does not have a background in Data Analytics, Lay Peng has always been interested in the area and took up courses in this field. However, she has not had much success switching her career into the field.

Bryan Teo had been contemplating about a career switch when he came across an advert put up by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) about the TechSkills Accelerator (TeSA) Mid-Career Advance Programme. The programme allowed Bryan to embark on a new tech-related career while he acquire new skills on the job.
