Uberizing our workforce, one gig at a time

What can you build in less than 12 months when you apply agile software development lifecycle methodology and ReactJS to a great idea? Yani, our second-year Management Associate came up with the idea to uberize our workforce at our internal hackathon where her team won the top prize. From there, she developed a minimum viable product (MVP), and the TechGig web and mobile application she created using her technical skills now helps our roving engineers select gigs that work best for their schedule and preferred locations.

"With the support of my rotation supervisor, KC, I was able to develop an effective MVP, and our Centre of Excellence also helped map out the process flow to accelerate our launch," says Yani. "What gives me the most satisfaction is to be able to provide our engineers increased flexibility and choice around their assignments, while minimising effort required by the organisation for manual deployment of our workforce."
